Terms of Service

By creating an account or using any part of the Hum service (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using Hum on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Hum provides a platform that connects to your business data sources and answers natural-language questions submitted via WhatsApp. Features, limits, and pricing tiers are described at humapp.ai/pricing and may change with reasonable notice.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will give at least 30 days' notice for material discontinuations affecting paid accounts.

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us immediately at legal@humapp.ai if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised use of your credentials.

One account per person or business entity. Sharing accounts across multiple unrelated businesses is not permitted.

Ownership. You retain full ownership of all data, files, and content you upload or connect to Hum. These Terms grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide and improve the Service.

Responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any data you provide — including customer data. Do not upload data that includes special-category personal data (e.g. health records, payment card numbers) unless you have appropriate safeguards in place.

Deletion. You can delete your data and account at any time. We will purge your data within 30 days of account closure.

You agree not to use the Service to:

— Violate any applicable law or regulation.

— Upload data you do not have the right to process.

— Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our infrastructure.

— Resell or sublicence the Service without our prior written consent.

— Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages via WhatsApp in violation of Meta's policies.

— Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

Hum uses the WhatsApp Business Platform. By using the Service, you agree to comply with Meta's Business Terms of Service, the WhatsApp Business Policy, and any applicable WhatsApp Commerce Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of WhatsApp through Hum complies with these policies. We may suspend your WhatsApp integration if Meta notifies us of a policy violation.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are in USD and are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in our Refund Policy.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not prorate partial months.

If a payment fails, we will retry for 7 days before downgrading your account to the free tier. You will receive email notices throughout this period.

Hum and its underlying technology, trademarks, and content are owned by Hum Labs and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you.

You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your feedback or suggestions to improve the Service, without obligation to credit or compensate you.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Hum answers questions using AI and may occasionally produce inaccurate results. You should not rely solely on Hum's answers for decisions that carry significant financial, legal, or operational consequences. Always validate important outputs against your source data.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HUM LABS' TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

You agree to indemnify and hold Hum Labs, its officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may do so by deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or if we are required to do so by law.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 4 (Your Data — Ownership), 8, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Nothing prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in any jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
